Meeting Safety

The health and safety of participants is our highest priority.

NACCHO develops its meeting safety protocols for the health and wellbeing of all participants, taking into account prevailing public health practices and group convening standards. In accordance with current CDC recommendations, we require the COVID-19 primary series vaccines and one COVID-19 booster for the 2022 NACCHO360 conference. We also will require face masks for all indoor activities. Masks will be provided for those who need them, through a generous donation from our sponsors 3M and AM, LLC.

Our requirements apply to all NACCHO360 participants—attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff, and volunteers. Note that all registrants were required to check a box agreeing to these measures before they could complete their registration.

Additional measures we are taking to ensure a safe meeting include appropriate physical distancing in meeting rooms and hand sanitizer throughout the meeting space.

If you are registered to attend NACCHO360 in-person, but are unable to meet the requirements, we will assist you in modifying your registration to participate virtually. Please contact us if you would like to do so or if you have additional questions.

If you are feeling ill prior to traveling to NACCHO360:
  • Please stay home
  • Get tested for COVID-19
  • Contact NACCHO360Reg@naccho.org for assistance with changing your conference registration status

Vaccine Verification
We’ve partnered with VeriFLY, a secure travel and event app that allows you to upload your COVID-19 vaccination record documents and have them checked and verified before you attend.  Please refer to the below instructions on completing this process.

How does VeriFLY work?

For New VeriFLY users (individuals who have never downloaded or used the app before):

  1. Simply download the VeriFLY app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  2. Register with VeriFLY, which will require taking a selfie and confirming your email address.

    • Open the App
    • Click “I agree”
    • Provide your account details
    • Take a selfie
    • Open the email account you used to for the VeriFLY account and find the email from VeriFLY. Open it and confirm your account.
    • Go back to the app and press “continue”
    • Press “Finish”

  3. Now that you are registered in the app, you will need to access a unique “pass” designed for NACCHO360. In the VeriFLY app, tap “Scan VeriFLY Code” to scan this QR code.

  5. Upload the required vaccination record card(s) and VeriFLY will check them and confirm if they are valid.
    • Select the vaccine from the drop down for EACH of your doses.
    • Once you select a dose, another box will open to select the next dose. You need to confirm three doses of Pfizer/Moderna OR two from Johnson/Johnson.
    • List the date of the LAST dose shot you received
    • Select that you are fully vaccinated and turn the slide to blue
    • Upload a picture of your vaccine card by clicking “browse”
    • Once the photo is uploaded, click “submit”
  6. Wait up to one hour and you should receive an email from VeriFLY confirming your information.

If you receive an approval email from VeriFLY and your pass in the VeriFLY app says active, you are all set and nothing further is required. When your document(s) have been verified, the app will display that you have a valid pass for the event.

  7. Show your pass at the conference check-in.

7. Show your pass at the conference check-in.

          1. Please note: If for ANY reason, you have trouble with this process or prefer to bring your card onsite for in-person verification, please do so. You may continue to receive automated emails from NACCHO about this process, please disregard them and bring your card without onsite. If you choose not to use VeriFLY, you will be required to show your paper documents on the days of the event, and they will be verified for you at the registration/check-in desk. This may take longer. It will be your responsibility to ensure you bring the required compliant documentation.

The online VeriFLY Help Center (https://support.myverifly.com/) has many useful articles and tips for using VeriFLY. If you require any further assistance, you can submit a support request through the app or in the VeriFLY Help Center.

            Common Issues:

If you submitted your information and did not receive an email alerting you that your pass has been verified after an hour, please check the app to see if your pass says active or pending. “Active” means your process is complete. “Pending,” after an hour, means the verification process failed. You can open the app, select the pass, and delete it by clicking on the trash can and starting over OR you can bring your vaccine card or photo of your card onsite for a review.

If you have MULTIPLE cards, lay them side by side in the picture so you are only uploading one picture with both cards.

If you have trouble with the app itself, you can delete the app and its information and start over.
